Why do you need it?
Tooth extraction leaves an empty socket which will cause the bone and gum collapse and remodeling. This remodeling may result in the complication of the future implant placement due to the lack of proper bone and gum.
SP Socket Augmentation should be performed immediately after minimally invasive tooth extraction to fill and regenerate bone in the empty socket with bone graft material to ensure the maintaining proper bone and gum volume.
Autograft (your own bone), allograft (human cadaver), xenograft (bovine), or any mixture bone materials can be used based on the best clinical outcome in each case.
Generally, initial healing takes 4–6 weeks and the implant placement will be rendered in 2-3 months.
